Discipline Yourself

In order to complete the call on our lives, and live the life we desire, we must incorporate a disciplined lifestyle.  My definition of discipline is:  LIVING BY RULES, IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE DESIRED OUTCOME.

YOU get to set the rules for what YOU want to accomplish.

As women, we are often “moody”.  U-hum… yes, I said “moody”!   Women tend to be more emotional than men.  So trying to get everything done and be the GRAND woman we see ourselves as, will not happen if we do not have a disciplined lifestyle.

The problem is, that as we are tied to our emotions, we often act or react on the spur of the moment.  I know I have, many times.  I would go for a few days and do really well, then it was over, LOL…, Spur moment kicked in gear and off I went following my immediate desire, and didn’t use discipline AGAIN, and would find myself in a harried state.

Do you want to gain control of some areas, or EVERY area in your life?   DISCIPLINE  YOURSELF!

Remember, YOU get to make the rules for YOUR desired results.  Stop looking around at what others have, and make a list of what you want, and do something to get it.  You get to decide how long it will take you, and what you can do to accomplish your desires.   I guarantee you will feel much better about the outcome of a disciplined life, than letting your emotions rule you!  Start using those emotions to feel good about being disciplined:)

2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

  1. I can agree women to be more prone to “wearing their emotions on their sleeve” yet as far acting on emotions rather than discipline I am not sure that my gender is not equally susceptible in that regard. I plead guilty in that I continue to find fault in not exercising strict self-discipline operating alone from my home office; sadly I more and more have realized that same devil has encroached into my personal discipline as well. This verse you gave us from Timothy is very relevant Cathy; my wakeup call. This Halloween night and I have been TREATED lol, (blessed) from reading your posts and a couple others related to remembering we are God’s soldiers and are admonished to know what His armor is all about and to wear it 24/7. I have long held fast in the belief that God most often speaks to us through others with whom we encounter and surround ourselves; not just those speaking from the pulpit on Sundays and Wednesdays. Thank you Cathy and God Bless You.
