True Leaders

What do you think of when you think of a great leader?  The late Myles Munroe wrote in his book, The Spirit of Leadership, his own definition of leadership as this, “Leadership is the capacity to influence others through inspiration motivated by a passion, generated by a vision, produced by a conviction, ignited by a purpose.” He also states Leadership is not a pursuit but a result. Outstanding words!

When you think of the hero in a movie or book, they are always motivated by their purpose in life or in their profession, to save something they believe in, the world, their country, or someone they love.  They go after and protect what they believe in.  They change lives!

We are much like the hero’s in fantasy land, or true leaders we admire who accomplish seemingly huge results, making an impact, because we are all born leaders in some respects.  We have the capacity to change our circumstances and inspire others , EXCEPT  we haven’t always abided by our convictions or pursued what we are passionate about.

You can’t sit on the side lines and be a leader at the same time!  You first have to get in the game, so to speak.  Regardless if you win one game or 0, you stay at it, until you gain enough knowledge and wisdom to change the way you learned to play the game previously.

What would 2015 look like if you made a decision to EXPECT your life to break forth into great and unknown territory, becoming a true leader, because you made the choice to TAKE ACTION AND ACHIEVE  what you are passionate about?

Write down your vision to see it, make plans to accomplish it, take action to achieve it, and have the experience of a lifetime!
